CBD and Pain/inflammation:
CBD helps to increase the amount of naturally occurring pain killing chemicals in your body, helping you to get on with the things that matter to you without being affected by chronic pain.
Taking CBD for pain and inflammation
CBD is currently being used for a variety of different reasons, particularly for treating pain and inflammation.
There are already thousands of success stories of people being able to treat they’re pain and inflammation.
Below is one such success story from one of our customers Jon who used Enhance's CBD oil to help manage his pain.
How does CBD interact with our body?
Your bodies contain what’s known as an endocannabinoid system, which is involved in regulating mood, sleep, and pain and inflammation levels.
Endocannabinoids are produced naturally within the body and bind to cannabinoid receptors all around the body to help maintain homeostasis (balance).
Contrary to what you may think, the endocannabinoids do not come from within CBD oil, but CBD helps to create the right internal conditions to help us produce more.
CBD helps you to produce more of the naturally occurring pain relieving substances in your body and helps you to lower your inflammation levels.
CBD Dosages for pain and inflammation:
As mentioned above there is no standardised dosages for pain but what we do recommend is to take more based on your bodyweight.
Start at the dosage linked below and increase the dosage over time if need be.
So, for example if you weigh between between 70-90kg and you suffer from a moderate pain issue we’d recommend taking 5 drops of our 10% oil to start with.
If you don’t feel any effects, raise your dosage slowly until you start to notice some relief.
You can then cross reference the above table with the table below to work out the best oil for you and how long it will last.
So, if you take our example from above of needing to take 5drops of our 10% oil.
The bottle contains 200 drops so taking 5 drops a day would mean your bottle would last 40 days.
It’s important to note that this would just be a starting point many people end up doubling or even tripling their dosage if they need to.
We would always recommend scheduling a consultation with one of our team. We are on hand to help you choose the right oil for you so you can get started on your journey to improved wellbeing.
Tinctures are the safest, most effective delivery system for CBD. When taken sublingually (under the tongue), CBD is more rapidly and efficiently absorbed for maximum benefit. The effects last longer than they do from smoking or vaping without the negative by-products.
Before trying CBD, please be aware that if you are taking any prescription medications then you may need to consult with your GP prior to taking CBD Oil.
If your doctor tells you how much to use, stick to their recommendation. This is especially important if you’re taking a prescription medication that contains CBD, such as Epidiolex, a form of seizure medication.
